Dreamland

Last night I had a strange dream. Actually, strange dreams are the norm for me. Every night I dream something unique and totally bizarre that would make for a crazy story the next morning – if I remember it, that is. So last night I had this dream where I was with Ryan and someone else trying to get “home” (or at least away from where we were) and it was all very odd and, as usual, there were a million obstacles in our way. When we finally got home (and for some reason we were moving in furniture), we found everything burned and looted. I was pretty bummed but I think I knew I was dreaming so it wasn’t as bad as it might be. In real life, I’d be devastated and it’s a great reminder to have renters or home insurance.
Now, usually my dreams stem pretty directly from things I saw or heard during the day but I don’t recall reading or watching anything about someone’s house burning down at all. Our home certainly didn’t burn down (although we did have to listen to the beep of the smoke alarm for over 30 hours as the battery died). Nor have I known anyone who has suffered fire anytime recently. In that respect, it was even more unusual than normal.
