White Gardenia Anti-Bacterial Scrubbing Hand Soap

Phew, if that wasn’t a mouthful. I liked the last bodycology product I tried well enough to got another one when I needed to replace the soap in the bathroom. I was immediately less impressed. The scrubbing beads in this one feel quite gritty, especially for the first couple of uses. I constantly felt like I had cat littler on my hands and it’s not pleasant. I would also hazard a guess that the gritty beads scrubbed a little more than expected. My hands became pretty dry for a few days and I had to coat them in lotion before they perked back up. Since then, however, it hasn’t been a problem. It’s odd because the ingredients include Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Aloe Vera.

I really like the look of the tall pump bottle and the misty appearance of the White Gardenia Anti-Bacterial Scrubbing Hand Soap itself, though. There’s a pretty picture of a white gardenia on the front label and it kind of sort of matches the bathroom. The floral scent is a little overpowering, though. I probably wouldn’t choose this one again.

When it comes to anti-bacterial properties, the working ingredient is Triclosan and there is some controversy about it so I suggest you do your research. I am not necessarily opposed to it so I don’t mind and it’s certainly less drying than alcohol (or is it? LOL).

I will definitely stay away from Bodycology’s scrubbing hand soap in the future.
