Citrus Coconut Body Lotion
Tue, April 20 2010
CVS sells a line of cosmetics including lotions, hand creams, body fragrances and beauty tools known as Essence of Beauty. I don’t visit CVS too frequently but a display caught my eye and I had to have a sniff of the Citrus Coconut Lotion. Little would I know that this girl, who is never a fan of citrus scents and doesn’t especially like coconut would fall in love. I walked out with a small bottle because I didn’t really need it but I sure wanted it. You know how that goes.
The bottle has a small image of citrus fruit — lemon and limes — with a slice of coconut. The lotion itself is a very light green. There scent is definitely reminiscent of coconut and has a citrus tang but it does not necessarily smell like coconut and citrus. To put it plainly, I think I like it because it’s not what you would expect.
So I use it all the time and it feels nice quite on the skin. It absorbs well and provides adequate moisture. I don’t expect much from my lotions so this one works pretty well. What I love the most is that the scent is strong enough that I can smell it for a while. That might be a con for some people but I don’t mind.
Based on my experience with the Citrus Coconut Body Lotion, I’d be willing to try more Essence of Beauty products.
