The last few weeks have resulted in me switching skin care products (facial wash, moisturizer and toner) not once but twice! When my soap ran out (but, my god, it lasted like 6 months!), I purchased a new cleanser from the store. But when I won third place in that blogging contest and the set of skin care products showed up, I switched to that right away! A large part of that was due to the fact that the moisturizer is SPF 30 and I definitely need that in the Texas summer.

I’ve definitely noticed that natural skincare products are all the rage, especially online. My newest includes green tea. The stuff I was using before had some natural ingredient that smelled a lot like eucalyptus. It makes sense because the world is going green in a million other ways and I suspect that this trend is here to stay. It’s a far cry from all the chemical-laden skincare products that ruled the industry for years.

The current stuff I’m using is actually an anti-aging kit, I think. I’m lucky that I’m young and I have the ridiculously youthful complexion. I know, I’ll live it when I’m 40, right? Don’t mind that I look like I’m 12 now. ;) I have more than a few years before I need to be considering wrinkle smoothing cream or any similar products like those by Dermajuv, despite their pretty amazing before and after pictures. And, hopefully, by slathering on the moisturizers now, I won’t ever need to use products containing stem cells (I’d like to see those go toward more valiant pursuits).
