Kraft 100 Calorie Cheese Bites

Date Fri, September 3 2010

Wow! Let me not mince words on this one: These are just not worth it.

I bought the cheddar variety as I am a cheese lover. Cheese makes a great snack. I frequently get some cheese squares from some other brand but opted for these the last time I went shopping. The bag was the same size and the they cost $2.16, if I remember correctly, compared to the $2.70 of my usual purchase.

But I get them home and see there are only 5 packs of cheese in there? That’s no deal at all. I could spend a bit more and buy an entire block of cheese.

Also, they taste awful. I absolutely loathe the fake, processes tasted of Kraft singles (which are American cheese, aren’t they?) and the 100 Calorie Cheese Bites taste exactly the same. They do not taste like cheddar at all and I normally enjoy Kraft’s cheddar products.

These cheese bites are little cubes of cheese in individual packs. The plastic isn’t sealed tightly around the bites so the cheese has that exposed, dry exterior as opposed to moist edges. It’s kind of gross.

Needless to say, I will not be purchasing this product again.
