Cheerios Cheer Giveaway

MyBlogSpark is a social media marketing company from General Mills that promotes information about products and, in this case, promotions that the company is doing. Right now, they’re doing something really cool with their products. If you hit up your local grocery store, you’ll still be able to find a few Cheerios boxes that include post cards stamped on the box. These postcards are pre-addressed to the USO and that organization will then disseminate them to America’s service men and women. All you have to do is add your own stamp.
This Cheerios Cheer event is really sweet and enables everyone to send their thanks to soldiers, marines, seamen and airmen. Plus, for every card sent during the month of November, General Mills/Cheerios donated $1 (up to $100,000) to the USO to help military members and their families. Cheerios started the campaign by donating 150,000 to the USO. A very generous donating indeed as the season of giving sneaks up on us.
This is close to my heart, even though I am no longer a member of a military family. I was never more proud of my ex-husband that when a stranger would walk up, shake his hand and thank him for his service. I know he and other service members appreciate our appreciation, even if it sometimes makes them blush. I also know that everyone can use a little financial help over the holidays and it can be so difficult to make ends meet when your spouse is deployed so I applaud Cheerios’ efforts.
As part of the campaign, Cheerios sent me a box of Cheerios, a Cheerios bowl and spoon and a unique cereal dispenser. They’re also going to provide one of my readers with their own prize package which includes all the same things.

I didn’t buy any Cheerios last month so I didn’t send a post card, but if I did I would have said, “Keep Moving Forward” or “Keep being awesome”. Two mottos.
I bought a box of Cheerios last week and will definitely be sending out the postcard once we’re done with the box. I’ll probably write something lame like, “Hi, you don’t know me, but I just want to say that you’re super!”

If you read this post, you would have seen that the postcard goes to members of the military.
I did not buy Cheerios in November, but if I had sent a postcard it would have said “We appreciate what you and everyone you know are doing for our country.

I did buy Cheerios but we haven’t sent the postcard. If we sent it, it would say, “Thank-you for all that you do for our country and all of us that live in it. You are in my family’s prayers. God Bless you!”
