Get Paid to Blog and Tweet with the New Izea

Date Fri, March 21 2014

If you’ve read my review of Social Spark, you might have signed up. However ,it looks like the parent company, Izea, is switching things up.

With the new Izea marketplace, you can now add your blogs and social media accounts to sign up for potential sponsored opportunities from blog posts to product reviews to sponsored tweets to With the new format, it looks like Izea could attract popular social media users even if they don’t blog, and you can add multiple accounts per service. The accounts you can add include:

  • Blog
  • Facebook
  • Google+
  • Twitter
  • Flickr
  • Foursquare
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
  • Tumblr
  • WordPress
  • YouTube

So I can choose to blog something from Reviews by Cole and tweet it from my personal twitter account. You can also import your photo and bio from any of those “connections” to make signing up easier.

Right now, you’ll get daily digests with new opps like you did with Social Spark, Pay Per Post and other Izea services. When you log in, you can “bid” for those opps. Your bid is the amount of money that you want for that opp, and the system saves all bids. It seems like those digests are a little wonky right now, but that’s probably due to how new Izea marketplace is right now.

For free users, you’ll get 3 bids per month, which does seem low. I am not sure if bids are “returned” once the buyer rejects them or not, but that would be a nice option. You can upgrade to send more pitches, however. For $1 per month, you’ll get unlimited bids and a $50 PayPal cash out. For $5 per month, cash out is $25.

You can also make more money by referring other publishers (bloggers and social media users) as well as advertisers. Your commission rate increases as your number of referrals increases. For the first 10 referrals, you’ll get 2.5%. This increases to 5% after you refer 10 bloggers. The advertiser referral commission stays 2.5%.

Izea’s new marketplace is in its early stages so now it a great time to join — less competition. However, I have high hopes for this. I like how all of the services are combined! Click below to join!
