Mother’s Day is fast approaching for my fellow Americans, and this post miiight just be a little late if you’ve already picked up your gift. Or it might be right on time if you’re like me and tend to do things a little last minute. Otherwise, save these ideas for your mom’s (or another mother in your life) next birthday or holiday.

for the mom who does it all

  • A gift card for a massage, pedicure or manicure. Give mom 30 minutes to an hour without any responsibility. Pamper her.
  • Bath & body goodies, including lotion and body oil. She might only have a few minutes to herself every day, but she can treat herself with someone that smells and feels great. Skip the big name stores and get her a gift basket from Castle Baths, which features all natural products.
  • Coffee is a great pick-me-up and the ideal gift for the mom in your life who sometimes needs a little boost — or just likes a good, dark roast. Cross Country Cafe sells both ground coffee and coffee pods in flavors such as Dunken Donuts coffee! Check back every Wednesday for awesome sale prices, too!

for the mom who watches too much toddler tv

You know how it goes. The smallest people in the house somehow wind up picking what you watch on TV. When my sister was little, it was all Spongebob and Dora and Bob proving that YES HE CAN. But that gets pretty old for mom, which is why I recommend the following gifts.

  • Amazon Prime subscription so she can watch movies and TV shows made for adults. And if she doesn’t have a smart TV or video game console, the Fire Stick is a cheap and easy way to enjoy Amazon Prime and other content on her TV.
  • An iPod or iPod Touch might seem like a strange gift in the world of smartphone but consider this: having a separate device to listen to music, watch movies or browse YouTube means your phone’s battery isn’t dying. Mom can also choose if she lets her little ones use the device because, let’s face it, many of us do!
  • I’ve actually always thought that smartphones were truly too small to enjoy movies or TVs, so I think a Kindle Fire makes a better gift if you want to give your mom a personal screen. It’s the right size the movies, not to mention reading books or comics, playing games and just playing on the Web. And Amazon has so many options that you’re sure to find one that fits her personality.

for the mom who has a sense of style

“Fashion? Makeup? What’s that?” say all the mommies who have too much to do and so little time to do it in. But once mom can find balance and remember that she loves putting together an outfit or coordinating makeup colors, she loves when someone notices. So giving her one of these gifts might not be a bad idea!

  • A necklace, ring or bracelet might be right up mom’s alley. Perhaps you can get her a set to cherish forever. Vancaro has a great Mother’s Day collection right now featuring hearts and floral motifs (plus, you can get free shipping on everything!). Orogem offers another option, and you can even add a special message to your Mother’s Day jewelry. If you’re not sure, take a look at her current jewelry collection to see what styles she likes.
  • Handbags and accessories can make awesome Mother’s Day gifts if you can determine her style. Stella & Dot sells unique accessories, including scarves, purses, sunglasses and jewelry that are worth checking out. Cents of Style also has a Mother’s Day collection featuring jewelry, hats, shoes and more!
  • Does your mom love nail polish and manicures? Introduce her to premium brands such as Julep, which has a monthly nail and/or beauty subscription box, and Butter London (get a free gift when you spend $50 with code MAY17). Both are brands that I personally own, and both offer makeup, too! For other products, check out Beauty Brands. Don’t forget coupon EC14189 to save $3.50.
  • If she loves makeup, then your mom might like a subscription to Lip Monthly to try out new products. Love Goodly offers cruelty-free beauty and style products and an option to gift your mom a box for her special day.
  • Get mom a hot new outfit to go with all those amazing accessories. Igigi and SWAK Designs (use coupon SASMOM20 to save 20%) cater to plus-sized mamas. If your mom would be proud of you for waiting for sales, check out the clothing and accessories from Jane. The deals change all the time! I can’t forget ModCloth, either, which sells awesome vintage-inspired clothing and accessories. Get free shipping when you spend $150 today.
  • Finish off the look with shoes! The newly-launches is offering 25% off with coupon FLASH17, but if you miss that deal you can still save 20% with coupon SHOESDOTCOM.

for the mom who cooks

Cue joke about her being one hot momma. I know, it’s terrible. But these Mother’s Day gift ideas are pretty hot!

  • If you want to give your mom a break, then gift her a restaurant gift card to her favorite cafe. You might be surprised to learn that Amazon sells a variety of restaurant gift cards. Of course, you may need to go in person if your mom prefers a local eatery.
  • Now, not every mom would like a kitchen appliance for Mother’s Day. Then again, some would absolutely love it! The Whirlpool outlet store sells new products at discount prices, so mom can have a new double wall oven or microwave to make things a little easier in the kitchen! Best Buy offers appliances and tech from a variety of brands, too. Use coupon SAVEONSMALLS to take 20% off small appliances.
  • An apron doesn’t sound like a great gift, but Flirty Aprons sells these adorable aprons — like the one to the right — that your mom might just love. If your dad is a grill master, you can stop back next month to pick up a different style for him!

for the mom who keeps track of every appointment

Let’s face it, the only option for this category is a smartphone. Mom needs it to keep track of meetings at work, doctor appointments, sleepovers and recitals, just to name a few. Now, phones can be expensive, but they don’t have to be. A certified and pre-owned phone from Gazelle makes a great gift without breaking the bank — and you can turn in her old phone for cash back, too! Check out the Apple and Samsung models.

for the mom with a creative streak

Is Mom an artist? Or maybe she needs to be reminded of her talent. You’ve got options!

  • Scrapbooking tools are fun and if your mom likes technology, she’ll love the Cricut Air, a cutting machine that’s perfect for making decals, stickers and paper goods for scrapbooks, home decor, invitations and even planners.
  • Arts and craft classes sound like a weird gift, but I think Craftsy’s classes would actually be ideal if mom wants to learn how to sew or brush up on her photography skills. You’ll need to set her up an account. Or you could  take a class to make her a cake from scratch!

for the mom on the run

Excuse my play on words here. But if the mom in your life is active, then she might appreciate the following gifts.

As always, flowers, chocolates and an “I love you” are more than most moms really want from their children. I personally know several Moms who proudly feature a canvas family photo on their walls, which is why it’s my last recommendation on this list. TinyPrints is a great company to create your own canvas prints — or put your photos on other items — and you can save 30% today with code SPRINGSALE.
