RentBack to Give Back

Date Sat, February 1 2014

I’m in a generous mood lately. I hope that my readers are, too. So when I read about things like Operation Smile, I perk up.

This foundation provides children with facial deformities (think cleft palate) with reconstructive surgery. We all know how difficult it can be growing up when you look different, and facial deformities are especially difficult to hide. Operation Smile ensures that young children won’t have to go through that or live with it s adults. Operation Smile has helped thousands of children and young adults through surgery.

Operation Smile is a partner of¬†, and every time a student rents a textbook (a service that I am no stranger to), they donate to Operation Smile. I love hearing about this. You might even say that it makes me smile. Too much? Oops. You can also make a direct donation to Operation Smile¬†if you’re like me and not currently in need of any textbooks. However, if there’s a student in your life, you could make her day by telling her about CampusBookRentals and the good the website does with Operation Smile.

Of course,¬†CampusBookRentals and its new site — RentBack — make plenty of people smile with their low prices and ability to make money by renting old books to others. You can find out more about this new program with the video below:
