Purex® plus Clorox 2 Review + Giveaway

It’s spring, so we could all be singing “Rain, rain go away.” But I think it would be more relevant to say “Stains, stains go away.” Because no one likes stains, am I right?

I am fortunate to be childfree, so I don’t have a lot of those typical stains. But that doesn’t mean I never have stains. In fact, most of my stains seem to come from makeup, that wonderful thing designed to stain my skin if you will. Now, I’m not talking about lipstick on the collar. It’s more like an accident. I spilled from foundation here or BB cream there. Any makeup can be so tough to work with because much of it is oil based, which makes it much harder to get out.

In fact, I have a microfiber cloth from last Halloween that seems to be permanently stained shades of black and brown. One black-and-white striped top was the unfortunate victim of BB cream, which seemed far brighter and more orange on my clothing than it ever did on my face. I soaked it and washed it with my regular detergent, but that wasn’t good enough. I wound up scrubbing with dish soap until my skin was raw. Bleh.

I wish I had had Purex® plus Clorox 2 to try to attack those stains at the time.  I can’t tell you for sure if it would have worked, butI was willing to try just about anything at the time to save that top. Fortunately, it did eventually come clean.

And now I have a bottle of Purex® plus Clorox 2 to use whenever I need to tackle tough stains; although, I hope I won’t come up against any quite so soon! I’ve been fortunate enough to review Purex® plus Clorox 2, which is both tough on stains and safe to use for colors. Awesome!

It’s got a nice, clean scent (Original Fresh) and works in HE machines. The addition of Clorox 2 helps the detergent battle 100 stains, and you can boost it by pretreating stains with the detergent before tossing it into the machine. I’ve been happy with its performance,

My only complaint is the measuring system in the cap. It’s really hard to see the little bars that represent the amount of soap to use. It’s not good for quickly filling it, and to be honest, I mostly just guess because of this. The normal level isn’t even half the cap. In fact, I tried to take a photo to explain how hard it was to see the marks, and my camera could barely register it.

I am most interested in the original fresh scent because that is closest to what we currently use.
