Anarchy for Her shower Gels

Anarchy for Her shower Gels

If you had asked me how I felt about Axe products a month ago, I would have said I didn’t like a single scent from them. That guys wore too much, too strong. That the commercials were sexist.. and I didn’t support the brand as a whole. It’s harsh, I know. Stick with me, okay?

While my scent preferences haven’t changed, I can now say that they have added some products to their lineup that I do like and would recommend. As the name suggests, the Anarchy for Her line is for females. Right now, the products include Anarchy and Anarchy II, and I was scent a bottle of both scents  of the shower el for review. Anarchy for Her also has  body sprays for women.

Now, in product photos, Anarchy looks quite pink while Anarchy II is a bright orange. In person, the shower gels are a much closer color with Anarchy II having more an orange hue while Anarchy For Her has a red color. so pay attention if you’re picking up a bottle in your local stores. Speaking of availability, you’ll find this pretty much everywhere including Amazon for $12- $13 per bottle. It’s listed at less than half that at, and you can head to your local Wal-mart and pay around $4. The price is comparable to other bottles containing around 16 ounces.

In my experience, this is a thick gel. There’s a small hole thanks to the push top, so it doesn’t flood all over the place when you’re administering the product. I only need to use a little for a good lather with my Spin Brush, but I do find myself using more product with my shower pouf. That’s to be expected. This isn’t a big frothy lather like I love, but it certainly gets the job done. The performance of both shower gels is comparable, and there’s really very little difference to the two bottles.

The biggest difference is scent. Anarchy for Her is described as floral with a little cherry blossom scent. I actually find it to be the sweeter and fruitier of the two, and I sure do love sweet. There’s no particular fruit or whatever that I recognize, but my nose is happy with it. While I was at Amazon, I read some reviews of the products.  One complained that the scent isn’t very strong. In the shower, I smell only the shower gel and nothing else, but it doesn’t stick on my skin like some. IF that’s what you want, then by all means, get the body spray to go with it. However, this is pretty common for many body washes.

It might be odd for Axe, a product which often suffocates you with its scent, but I don’t mind. That was one of my biggest pet peeves with the products. They took it too far, so I don’t mind that I can breathe.

I also don’t mind Anarchy II, but I do find that the tartness from the mandarin orange isn’t quite up my alley. The scent is similar to the original but more citrus. It’s not bad, but I don’t love it. I might love the original, however.

You can easily take a sniff when walking down your store’s bath aisle, however. I encourage you to do so. I’d also love to see all my readers enter a contest to win the same bottles that I received. Keep one for yourself, give one away, keep them both — it’s up to you! Just follow the prompts on the PromoSimple widget to enter.

Good luck!
