Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant

Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant

I can’t think of a single way to start this post that makes antiperspirant relevant to my life. It’s December in Wisconsin, and while it’s not our usual winterly weather, it’s cool and dry. I’m not stressed or running any marathons, and I can finally wear layers without overheating. Yay!

But as someone who does overheat easily, I was super excited to get a chance to try Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant and to keep it as a product I could use when the weather does turn warm — and humid! — because I’m so sensitive to it.

Let me preface this by saying I’ve never used a spray deodorant or a product that’s only an antiperspirant. I guess I like things that tackle both problems. With that said, I’ll use deodorant — typically gel — on any place where I’m worried about moisture. As someone who walks a lot, this might be the thighs. As a bra-wearing woman, under the breasts. I know from my friends and family that this is fairly common, though it may not be talked about a lot.

I figured I could replace deodorant in those places specifically with this dry spray, so I gave it a shot. As the name implies, it feels dry. It doesn’t need drying time. And while it’s not quite like wearing a powder, it does feel more powder-like once it’s on. I’d be careful with dark colored clothing. I’ve not used this anywhere that you’d see it, but white marks are always a concern.

I feel like this would work well to dry existing moisture and sweat, perhaps after a workout or before a meeting if you’re the type who sweats nervously. Perhaps under layers if you’re performing something on the bright light of stage, dressing up in extensive costume. I think you get the point! This would be a good product during the summer, and the dry spray feels pleasantly cool, too.

I can’t help but wonder if it might help to get sand off your feet at the beach? It’s winter in Wisconsin, though, so I’ll have to keep wondering!

The scent  I received to review is “Cool Essentials.” it’a a light cucumber — not overwhelming at all! I can definitely smell it after it’s been on for a while, but not in a bad way. I don’t always light cucumber scents, but this one is clean and airy.

It’s supposed to last 48 hours, but I shower daily no matter what, so I haven’t been able to test it out to see the time frame.

I thought I’d try Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant just by itself instead of my deodorant. It’s not nearly effective, but it would work in a pinch if you don’t plan to sweat a lot and perhaps if you used it several times during your day. It’s definitely not enough during the summer!

You could certainly spray is over your deodorant if you find that one product works well for keeping you smelling fresh with the other adds an extra layer of freshness feeling. Though, the spray can is large enough that it’s not going to fit into a small bag or purse like those smaller deodorant sticks.

But it’s perfect for your gym bag, beach bag or to even keep in your car for those little emergencies.

If you’re interested in Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, you’ll find it at Walmart and Amazon.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
