Luv2Kiss Invisible Lip Liner

Date Thu, April 30 2015

To start, the  Luv2Kiss Invisible Lip Liner comes in this cute box with a pair of cardboard lips. I quickly discarded it, but the attention to detail is nice.

Once out of the box, the lip liner is very similar to traditional eyeliner pencil. You might recall that I’ve used a similar product from Rimmel that I rather liked, so I was excited to try Luv2Kiss’ option.

It arrived like that, and I found myself using the side of the pencil. As it wears down, I’ll use the tip. I don’t even use eyeliner, so I don’t have a sharpener readily available, and I’m not very good at just using a knife. A mechanical liner pencil would also have a softer tip. As you sharpen this, it’s going to become rather sharp.

I would typically use an invisible lip liner simply to line my lips and keep gloss or lipstick in place and prevent feathering. However, you can use it all over your lips to make your lip color last longer and add a little more drama to the color.

For my first time, I used the lip liner over half my mouth, applied a lip stain and then a gloss over the top. Although I didn’t notice any difference in the vibrancy of the color, I did notice that the stain went on much smoother on the side that was filled in with the liner. You can improve upon this by exfoliating your lips so they start nice and smooth without any dead skin.

Because this is a clear product, you can’t quite tell where it is on your lips, so I was generous with my application to make sure I didn’t miss a spot. After applying all my products, I didn’t notice much of a difference at the way my lips felt. They were smooth from the gloss, one I got from Julep a while back.

It definitely isn’t a perfect product, however. I did a skin kiss test and some of my color and gloss did come off. However, I anticipated this. My lips still looked good!

Overall, this product does work well, but I think I would prefer a mechanism pencil option a bit better. I’ll definitely keep using it to see how long my lip color lasts, especially consider that Luv2Kiss lip liner is waterproof.
