Perfectly Posh Hand and Body Creams

Date Wed, January 20 2016

Perfectly Posh, have you heard of it? It’s a health and beauty retailer that makes = so many products: perfume rollers, shaving creams, body washes, face masks, bath bombs, lip balms and more. I can’t list them all, but I sure did spend a nice amount of time browsing the site. It was overwhelming how many products they have.

Here’s a run down of some of their main lines:

  • Big Fat Yummy (hand cream)
  • Lipsophistication (lip balm)
  • All MIXD Up (bath powder)
  • SKINDELICIOUS (body butter)
  • Wishin’ I Was Kissin’ (lip gloss)
    Chunk (bar soap)
    SnarkyBar (scrubbing soap)

They also make a few products that  don’t fall into any line and the scents all have individual names, so it can get a little confusing.

Luckily, a Perfectly Posh rep was willing to work with me and sent me a few products to try out myself. Nicole, my rep and contact at Perfectly Posh, sent me several adorable samples of hand creams and related products to try from this brand. It was all so cute! I can’t handle it.

Of course, I only have one pair of hands and needed time to try all these products. Let’s start with my favorite, shall we?

Life is a Joy Coconut Oil

I’ve only tried non-scented, liquid coconut oil before, but the solid coconut oil from Perfectly Posh is more up my alley. It melted at the touch of your fingers and is super concentrated. I like it for massaging into my cuticles, and it’s great at breathing life into stubborn dry skin, which tends to be an issue during the cooler, winter months.

Life is a Joy coconut oil has a deliciously, slightly smell because of the Poshymallow scent. It’s probably my favorite scent of all the products I got to try. I love the sweetness, and it’s not overpowering.

Big Fat Yummy is the name for their line of thick hand creams that are perfect for keeping your paws moisturized. In fact, it’s thick enough that I likely wouldn’t use it on any other place on my body as such thick lotions tend to make my skin sweat, ha! But it’s done a good job keeping my hands moist thanks to apricot kernel oil, and it doesn’t have the residue of the coconut oil, so you can continue going about your day.

The Lil Snarky scent is described as “the scent of exotic flowers, sandalwood, and a serious attitude.” I probably wouldnt’t describe it like that exactly, but I am not the best at describing scents. There’s definitely that hint of floral and sandal wood but I guess the “attitude” is something that I can’t quite place my fingers on. I don’t think I would buy it after my sample runs out — I’ve used it something like 6 times and it just keeps coming! — but I would definitely consider the other hand cremes from Perfectly Posh. I think I would try Hottie Patottie because it’s got a sweeter smell!

HONEY, HONEY! body Creme

Are you singing the song honey, honey, sugar, sugar? I bet you are now! The third product I got to try was the Honey, honey body cream (you can also get the same scent in a hand cream). It’s thinner than the Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme, which makes it perfect for arms, legs, knees and elbows, etc.

The Honey, Honey scent is described as raspberry with lemon meringue, and it’s the tones of sweet lemon that are the most obvious. In fact, it reminds me just a bit of lemon candy or lemon skittles — so definitely super sweet. If that’s not your thing, you probably want to pass this one up. I don’t mind it, but I do wish there was a little more hint of raspberry.

Shameless Flirt

Here’s another Big Fat Yummy hand creme scent. To be honest, I think it’s my least favorite, but you might love it! I think the jasmine is just a little too overpowering and perfumey. Like I said, I enjoy scents that are sweeter.

Like other hand creams in the line, it has ingredients such as

  • Allantoin
  • Aloe Vera
  • Apricot Kernel Oil
  • Citric Acid
  • Coconut Oil
  • Glycerin

They’ll keep your hands soft and smooth. Now, you might not be familiar with the first ingredient in this list. I know I wasn’t. According to the site,

Allantoin is natural chemical compound that moisturizes and soothes irritated skin and stimulates new skin growth, improving its texture. Allantoin is also an effective anti-inflammatory, can reduce redness and flaking, alleviate psoriasis symptoms, and is commonly used to treat burns, scars, and similar wounds.

So that’s, like, super cool!

Now, before you run off to buy any of these products (though I think you should!), there’s a few things you might want to know about Perfectly Posh.

  1. Everything costs less than $25, which is awesome!
  2. You can often find sales on Nicole’s Perfectly Posh site. For instance, you can always buy 5 to get 1 free — score!
  3. You can score sets of products in their Pretty Kits, both in the same scent and in multiple scent kits, for a deal!
  4. There are products to help deal with acne and a man’s line to boot!
  5. There’s a rewards program, and you can earn coupons just by shopping and sharing products with friends! You can also earn samples for yourself or friends, and you can qualify for products that regular buyers can’t!

That’s a lot of information to process, just like there were a lot of products to browse choose between, but hopefully this post helps some buyers because I think Perfectly Posh is a company you don’t want to pass up!
