Honeycat Cosmetics Shower Gel and Soap Bar

When I first received the pitch from Honeycat Cosmetics, you wouldn’t believe how excited I was. I mean, cats? Awesome bath and body products? I’m in.

I scored a few products, which I really like. In fact, there really isn’t anything that I don’t like about these products. They shipped them with some tissue paper. All of the bottles containing liquids were sealed shut with branded tape, and everything had a tag attached with ribbon. The soap came in its own cardboard box. The attention to detail was just staggering.

The first product I tried was the Vanilla Cream Grooming Bar. This is a lightly-scented bar that’s perfect for hand or body. I tried it in the shower and enjoyed the product — it’s super moisturizing — but prefer body wash slightly. I’ve been using it as hand soap since then, however. I love how it’s not drying in the least. And it’s really not very strongly scented, so I can’t imagine it bothering anyone. The vanilla is just a hint, and the overall tone is very clean. The soap is quite soft thanks to natural ingredients such as shea butter, aloe and sweet almond oil, so there’s that to keep in mind.

I absolutely love the Cat Tails for Two Shower Gel. However, I have to admit that I had zero idea what grand marnier was before I tried this product. Oops! Apparently, it’s an orange flavored liquor. It goes perfectly with the apricot shower gel. The citrus tones work well, but it’s also sweet — almost like a candy. However, it’s not so sweet that it feels wrong on my body. You all know how much I love sweet, though.

The body wash comes in this awesome asymmetrical bottle with push-top, so use it easy. It’s easy to grab in the shower but maybe not with one hand. And the suds! Oh, they’re glorious! It’s silky and soft on my skin, and just the faintest hint stays on my skin after the shower. Did I mention that I love how my bathroom smells after showing?

Coquito Bubble Stuff

The last product I received was bubble bath, which I passed off to a friend since I don’t have a bathtub.  The ingredients list includes milk, coconut, rum and honey — all great natural ingredients. This was the Coquito Bubble Stuff, and don’t let the name fool you. It sounds weird, but it smells delicious — like vanilla, flowers and heaven, my friend described — and feels great, too.  It contains Vitamin E, milk proteins and shea butter to make you feel soft, moist and silky smooth. Just be careful when using the bottle or you might pour the whole thing in. Of course, you might want to.

Honeycat Cosmetics has a range of other products, including gift sets, and overnight bag, body butter, bath soaks, lip balms, scrubs, massage candles, bath melts, milks and fizzies and body party. I can’t wait until I live in a place with a tub again to try more of the products.

I feel like I haven’t written a glowing review for anything in quite some time, so I’m really happy to present this one to my readers. It’s a great brand if you want natural products or just want to pamper yourself. You won’t find harsh chemicals or dyes, either. You’ll find them in some physical retailers, but your best bet is to buy the products directly from the website.
