This is my first review of an American BB cream. it won’t be my last, but it might be the one filled with the most hate. I think it’s great that American companies want to jump on the BB bandwagon. I like BB creams, but if Korea is the only place that makes then, then getting them at decent prices and in shades that match every skin color over here is going to be a pain. However, it’s still slightly less painful than Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream. I don’t mean this literally. It’s more like a pain in my ass.

I ran out of my good BB cream so I decided to try one of the American ones. I’d read that Garnier’s option was too oily, and while I liked some of the new Olay Go Fresh line, this one was just plain cheaper. There’s a reason for that, I suspect: it sucks.

I wish I realized that American companies were just repackaging their tinted moisturizers as BB creams before I bought this. I really do. Because that’s all this is. It slides around your face — gross — and offers no coverage. It really doesn’t matter what shade you pick. It’s all awful. I’d give you color swatches but it doesn’t matter. You won’t be able to see this product on your skin at all. It’s not buildable. It doesn’t even my skin tone. It doesn’t act as a nice primer.

All it does seem to do is moisturize a little and protect from the sun, and those are good things, but I have moisturizers that do that. I want a true¬† BB cream that’s also a makeup. I want to be able to put it on and not worry about walking outside because my uneven skin is glaring at everyone.

I also hate the tube. I much prefer a pump bottle, but I should have no how gloopy and gloppy, messy and sloppy this product would be from the tube alone.

If your dreams are like this, I wish you better ones tomorrow. Maybe Freddy Krueger could show up.
