OPI Yodel Me on My Cell

OPI Yodel Me on My Cell

I’ve been meaning to write this review for quite some time. I really like this nail polish — along with the other one that came with it — and I get lots of compliments on it. However, I am terrible at taking photos of my nails.

So let’s go down what I like.

  • The nail polish is thin and not clumpy.
  • It goes on opaque in two layers.
  • It’s not streaky.
  • It dries quickly.
  • There’s a shimmer to the polish thanks to a lot of microglitter. I think it’s more noticeable in bright sunlight.
  • It gently shifts color in different light. It shifts between blue and green in a way that’s gorgeous but difficult to describe correctly. You can see this a bit in my photo.
  • The brush is wide and easy to use.
  • No glitters = easy to remove.

Let them Have Polish has a much better photo.

I bought this in a duo with OPI Ink, a medium purple that’s got the same amount of shimmer. OPI Ink seems to have thickened a bit over the last few months, so I added a few drops of nail polish thinner, but I didn’t have that problem with Yodel Me On My Cell.

Apparently, this was part of the company’s 2010 Swiss collection, but I have definitely not had it that long. I picked it up last winter or early spring.

While I picked the duo up at ULTA, you can get just this color at Amazon for less than $8.

Ohhh OPI! My absolute FAVORITE polish! You should definitely check out more of their polishes. OPI polishes are more… oily? And due to this the color sticks for a lot longer. It never peels, and RARELY chips when matched with Seche Vite dry fast top coat. OPI doesn’t come off until it’s ready to! I’m a nail polish-o-holic and I’ve tried SO many different brands. OPI and L’Oreal are both so fantastic. China Glaze is pretty good too but it doesn’t go on as “smooth” as OPI and L’Oreal.

I’ve never had any problems with my OPI thickening, however. Perhaps it’s due to the metallic/sparkles in yours? I tend to go for more pastel colors with a sparkle top coat.

Great post, would love to see more swatches!

Yea, the staying power is pretty good. I use a Sally Hansen quick dry top coat. It’s weird that one polish seemed to thicken. I rarely have that happen with the quality nail polishes — OPi, Orly, China Glaze — but it happens so much more commonly with the cheap ones. I was surprised.
