Panty by Post

I’ve been paying attention to subscription boxes for a while. I even reviewed one. But they’re not exactly for me. I’m picky. If I could pick a box and choose exactly what goes into it, that would be great. Otherwise, I just wind up one rather disgruntled Julep customers.

But that isn’t only relevant because Panty By Post is a subscription service. You’re not going to get nail polish with this one, though. Nope. Panty by Post sends you, you guessed it!, panties (or briefs if you’re a man) in the mail every month. The name is pretty self explanatory. And it even rolls off the tongue.

So before I get down to the goods, let’s talk about this service a little. When you visit the website, you can browse some of the panties in the gallery of theSignature and Bridal line. When you’re sure this is for you, put down your size and style preferences (hipster, thong, mix) and choose your subscription length. Like most subscriptions, you’ll save money if you go for a year or more. Each “box” will cost $15. Otherwise, you have options such as $20 monthly for 3 months, $19 for 6 months or $50 for an instant box of three thongs. These are prices for the signature line, but you can also opt for the bridal line, which tends to cost more. I think for some people the options might be a little overwhelming, but if you take the time to understand, it’s not so much.

When you’re going through the checkout process, Panty by Post will ask for shipping and billing info, and you can choose someone else to reverie the box. This is awesome, I think, for a gift… If your friends are the type who let you know their panty size. Otherwise, Panty by Post sells gift cards, too. The exact pair you receive in your box will be a surprise. Mine wasn’t because my PR contact wanted to send me something I’d like. So it was a hipster from the Maaji line. Natalie actually sent out a size larger than I typically wear because it runs small.

So I received a hipster that definitely has a Parisian feel as you can see from the photo . It’s blue with print featuring the Eiffel Tower and other French things. It’s cute and sort of boudoir — but also totally not something I would pick for myself. That’s really one of the perks of Panty by Post — to get out of your comfort zone.

As you can see, there’s contrasting pink lace around the leg holes. There’s also interesting lace panels in the front and back. I actually didn’t really love these. There’s not as cute as the rest of the panty, and the lace has so much stretch that the waist felt a little too loose on my hips (I’m about 40 inches at the hips).  However, I think that I was also wearing pants that tended to pull them down. Oops!

The leg holes did feel a tad bit snug at first, but stretched out just enough. They’re completely lined with elastic, which I tend not to prefer. I like a hemmed leg hole for maximum comfort. So I wouldn’t run a marathon in these. Who am I kidding? I never would! ;)

There’s also this little decoration sewn into the waistband. It could potentially hang out over the top of your pants if you wear them low, but I had no problems. You could cut it off but I do think it’s kinda cute!

However, my complaints are small in the long run. These felt nice on my skin and the crotch is lined with cotton to let your skin breathe. And there are so many styles at Panty by Post that your chances of getting a pair that you love are far greater than not!

And if you’re on the fence, pay attention because a giveaway will be coming your way soon!

You’re right, I’m not a fan of the lace part myself but the rest of it is super cute. I need to get myself some fun new underthings. It really does wonders for making you feel sexy when you have something fun on under your clothes! Fun stuff!

I’ve actually heard of this service before and contemplated signing up – I’m terrible about buying new underwear and throwing out old stuff, so I thought this would help. I love the ones they sent you too! Very pretty!

I tend to get new panties bout once every 6 weeks — whenever VS sends me a coupon in the mail!
