Radha Vitamin C Serum

I don’t typically use Vitamin C products. I have. They’re just not something I actively look for. This time around, I was accidentally sent a bottle of Radha’s Vitamin C serum, so I figured I’d give it a go.

Before you give it a go, there’s a few things you might want to know about it. For starters, it contains 98% Natural & 72% Organic ingredients. Those ingredients specifically are:

  • Vitamin C (20%)
  • Vitamin E
  • E
  • AMINO acids
  • Hyaluronic Acid

The combination is intended to stimulate collagen production in your skin to keep it firm and youthful. You also get protection against the sun and air pollution thanks to antioxidants, and it can help with fine lines and wrinkles while offering moisture.

The bottle I received it different from the bottle with dropper in the product image. This wouldn’t be an issue, but the bottle always comes a little unscrewed when I’m taking off the cap, and I once even got my finger skin caught in it! I’m not a big fan of droppers because they tend to be too big, so I like the pump, but it could use a little fine tuning.

The pump works well for the thin liquid, but I’m really not a fan of the scent, which is kind of unpleasant. It’s a sort of bitter citrus scent, which might be because it’s Vitamin C, but it’s not something I really like having on my face that close to my nose. I wouldn’t mind some fragrance added to make it a little sweeter — perhaps some vanilla?

I also find that the Beauty Clearing Serum seems to take a while to dry and encourages my skin to sweat more than when I don’t use it. As it’s warming up and summer will soon be here, I don’t really need any help with this.

Radha Vitamin C Serum doesn’t seem to have any negative effects such as causing acne or making my skin greasy, which is good. It might be a good option if you’ve tried other products that were too heavy, and I imagine it will especially be helpful in winter months, when our complexions can become a little dull.

However, during the summer, I really prefer a product that does multiple things so I can minimize how many products I put on my face. That’s why I like BB cream so much, and you might be better off choosing a moisturizing product that contains Vitamin C in addition to other products, such as SPF, to get the most bang for your buck!
