SEA BUCKTHORN BALANCING FACIAL CLEANSER

SEA BUCKTHORN BALANCING FACIAL CLEANSER

If you had asked me what “Sea buckthorn” was before this review, I would have looked at you like you weren’t speaking English. After having used a product that contains it, I guess I can’t really tell you what it is any better. Although, Sibu’s website will tell you that it’s full to the brim with nutrients like  Omega 7 that are great for your skin, hair and nails.  AKA Hippophae L, it’s been used for hundreds of years to help improve cell function, moisturize skin and decrease wrinkles, among other functions. It may even help with rosacea  and eczema.

Some of the ingredients that aid in this are:

water, decyl glucoside, coco betaine, sd alcohol 40-b, lauryl glucoside, hydrogenated jojoba oil, carrageenan, glycerin, phenethyl alcohol, sea buckthorn fruit extract (hippophae rhamnoides), sea buckthorn seed oil (hippophae rhamnoides), panthenol, coco-glucoside, glyceryl oleate, xanthan gum, sodium levulinate, sodium phytate, sodium anisate, fragrance (from orange and lemon essential oils

The balancing facial cleaner by Sibu is a thin gel cleanser in a pump bottle. It’s easy to use, and smells just a bit citrus-y for me. It smells clean, and it’s now overpowering. The gel doesn’t really lather. Instead, you just rub it on your skin and rinse it off.  It contains “microparticles” to help exfoliate, and they’re really gentle. But you don’t need to use a toner with this cleanser. Rinsing off feels nice and clean.

I sometimes have acne prone skin, and this cleanser does well with that. IT stayed clear except for when I switched to a different moisturizer, which my skin really doesn’t like. Aside from that, this cleanser does a good job. You can get it for just under $18 directly at the Sibu site. They even have a button for sharing on Facebook, which will help you save another 5%.

The facial cleanser is among an entire line of products form Sibu. There’s a body bar, liquid supplements, face cream, tablets, concentrated oil, night creams, serums and mother. If you’re looking for a new skin-care routine, Sibu’s products might be right up your alley.
