Tech & Go Splash Noise-Reducing Earphones

It’s been a little while since I posted a review of earbuds on here, huh? Mostly, I’ve been buying cheap pairs that are on sale because I short mine out so quickly. They’re all either terrible – LOL — or just okay. This pair was actually decent and a great price — just $5.

Walgreens has colorful tech items from Tech & go all around the store for $1, $3 or $5. I remembered this when I headed to the store, but it took me a while to find these. While the website only has the pink, they also have white, blue and purple. Colors may vary, of course. Other reviewers say that they paid $10, so it’s possible that prices aren’t the same at every location.

I do like the minimal packaging, and there’s no blister pack! It’s easy to open. These earbuds are inner ear style with adjustable cushions. The ones that came with are just fine for me. There are left and right earbuds, so they’re not universal. I can’t see a whole lot of difference, however. The plastic on the exterior of the earbuds is a bit odd. There’s almost a bar. I guess it’s not uncomfortable but it could get in the way. We’ll see when I go to sleep. Still, they do offer a little something to grasp, which makes them easy to put in.

There’s no remote control or microphone in these, but I don’t care. What impressed me wasn’t the appearance – -though I do love the blue that I got. The sound is surprisingly deep and rich, and you can really hear the bass. I was surprised.

I will likely replace these Tech & Go earbuds with another pair when they short out, which they always do.

    Did they ever short out?

All headphones do eventually. I was gifted a pair of Apple earpods that I used. After those shorted, I bought another pair or two of these. They’re hard to find, however. Looks like they’re being replaced with a more expensive version with a mic.
