WallPops Decal [Followup Review]

Date Mon, June 17 2013

I’ve had the decals from Wallpops up on my bathroom wall for months. I’ve been pretty happy with them, and a lot of people noticed when I first put them up. However, they don’t seem to be doing very well with the heat. It’s not the humidity because they’ve been in the bathroom, and that’s plenty humid. However, as summer’s been rolling in, I’ve noticed that the edges and corners are pulling away from the walls more and curling. I’ve had to fix the edges daily or every or day for the past few weeks.

The Wallpops decals aren’t going to fall off, but they certainly don’t look as nice when they’re not stuck on my wall the way they’re supposed to. Now, I cannot control the heat and it’s something that always affects stickiness. I know people who have had trouble with Command Hooks in hotter environments. Still, it’s disappointing because my bathroom is the coolest room in the apartment because it’s an interior room. On top of that, it’s only been in the 80s or so — so not that hot.

On the other hand, if it’s not from the heat, then these decals have a very limited lifespan before they lose their stickiness. This is not any better, really. I’ll keep rubbing them back in place, but I am a little disappointed.

    Hi Cole,

Love the look you created with the Tangier Blox! On behalf of WallPops, please accept our apologies on your decals peeling. It looks like your textured bathroom walls caused this as WallPops works best on smooth surfaces. We are happy to report that this is a problem we rarely encounter.
