I Hope They Like It

I don’t have children, so when I’m making a large-ish expense that’s not directly for myself, it’s for my cats. I can’t help it, I love those guys. I want them to be happy and healthy. That’s why I just spent $80 on some new furniture for them. Plus, they probably eat better than I do, and I’m not afraid of experimenting with new products. When I’m shopping, I often spend a lot of time looking for the best place to buy pet supplies online.

Sometimes it’s a large name with which I am familiar, but I don’t shy away from the smaller retailers, either. Sometimes they’re more expensive, but that’s not always the case. You might be surprised how competitively priced items are with the smaller stores, and it’s always nice to feel like you’re helping out the underdog.

I especially like when I can find coupons online. I recently ordered a new scratcher for the kitties, and I saved more by shopping online than I would have if I’d gone to the store. Even with shipping — and you can often find codes for free shipping — it was cheaper than it would have if I simply drove to the other side of town. I think that most consumers don’t expect that, and they wind up paying more because of it. That’s just silly.

We don’t really buy things for our cat. She likes boxes to sit in and chew. Brown paper from packages is fun for her too… she likes to sit on it, dive under it and into it. Also she loves wire tag ties, sweet wrappers and bottle tops which she bats across the floor for hours of fun.

Yea, I just got the furniture and they’re playing ni the box, but they both do love the little cubby hole in this new stand, which is great. I had a kitty condo before but Goliath needs a little more room, and this has it.
