Madison Reed: A Subscription Worth Paying For

Date Mon, July 14 2014

There aren’t a whole lot of subscription services that I like. I’ve only ever paid for two of them: Julep, which I reviewed with some less-than-pleasant words and Gwynnie Bee ( review forth-coming). However, I was able to review Madison Reed hair color, and through a mix up, I was sent a second box that I was able to keep after six weeks. If there is any subscription service I would think about recommending, this one might be it.

It’s not just that I like how inclusive the package is, with gloves and skin treatment and shampoo and condition, which I talk about in my review. It’s that receiving hair dye in the mail box every 6 weeks actually seems useful. It’s something you need to touch up. If you’re a person like my mom who likes to stick to the same color, then Madison Reed just makes sense.

I’ve enjoyed both times that I dyed my hair — Vesuvius Red. Although, the red fades quickly as those hues are likely to do. I also really like the texture of the hair dye because it makes it easy to use without a mess. Ask me about the carpet in my previous apartment. You know what? Don’t.

Plenty of subscription boxes lack options or send you tiny samples that do nothing. In comparison, Madison Reed really is the better value. Right now, you can save 20% on your first order with codeĀ SUMMERFUN.
