Own Your Business? Save on Amazon

Date Tue, October 20 2015

As a freelance writer, I own my own business. It’s a small one with only a single employee — yours truly — but it’s probably the best job I’ve ever had!

Amazon recently sent me an email inviting me to join Amazon Business, a new free service for business owners and other people who do shopping for their small businesses.

The perks include:

  • Discounts on business supplies
  • Savings on bulk purchases
  • and free 2-day shipping on orders over $49

If you have a bigger business, Amazon Business allows you to share shipping and payment information with people who have purchasing power. And Amazon Business even lets you make tax-exempt purchases.

You’ll be verified as a business via your tax ID number after you first register, and it can take a few days for the process to complete.

This is just one way that Amazon helps you save money. I’m a fan of Amazon Basics, the house brand that includes products such as batteries and electronics cables. Read more about that in this post. Plus, Amazon also allows you to purchase items you buy frequently with their subscription services.

You might replace some of your business needs — think printer ink, paper, staples, so on and so forth — with Amazon Business. Click here to sign up.
