Shoe Shop Until You Drop

After seven hours shopping, I am exhausted. My feet hurt from walking in boots that were good for the winter but aren’t so good for the level of walking that I can now do without fear of breaking an ankle now that snow is melting. This also means that I don’t have to worry about heels or boots getting full of road salt whenever I leave my apartment. Yay!

So, now I need to consider new shoes, and I’ve been browsing new ones at www.peltzshoes.com. Here are my favorites.

For walking

I need something with a thick enough sole and enough flexibility to last through hundreds of miles. Plus, the shoes can’t chafe, and the ankle needs to offer support because my own joints are a little weak. My top options include:

Skechers, Flex Appeal-Style Icon Running Sneaker

  • Reebok, Southrange Run Running Sneaker
  • Skechers, Flex Appeal-Style Icon Running Sneaker ¬†(pictured)
  • Skechers, Roxette Running Shoe

Granted, these are all for running, but if they can put up with that, they’ll handle me walking!

For a night out (shoes and boots)

  • Bandolino, Channinghigh heel Shootie
  • Madden Girl, Jacey high heel platform Shootie (to the right)
  • Soft Style, Retta High Heel Pumps
  • Nine West, Flowerchild high heel platform Pumps in taupe
  • Madden Girl, Rollright Wedge Sandal

There are plenty of flats that are cute, too, but I consider those more for work. I haven’t yet managed to find a pair of flats that I love because I need enough sole to be comfortable and to prevent my jeans from dragging on the ground.

Similarly, I’ve never found sandals that I like. I haven’t worn them since 6th grade. I don’t like the look of my feet so I don’t wear them, but I have a skirt that I’d love to wear this summer with some airy sandals. However, I don’t like thong style. Perhaps the¬†Patrizia, Isaura Wedge Sandal would be a good product during summer.

Now that it’s warming up and melting down, what will you wear on your feet? Are your toes happy to breathe again?
