Stop by Best Buy to shop for the #greatestgrad in your life

Date Sat, June 14 2014

Part of me cannot believe that it’s already June. Summer is almost officially here and school is out in most places. My younger sister has graduated from elementary school, and my cousin is now a high school graduate who will enter the world. I remember when I was that age 10 years ago (my class is planning our first reunion!). But as someone who’s out of school, my job is now to hunt for the perfect graduation presents.

Most of the people I know tended to move out, whether we were getting a job and living with roommates or heading off to a college dorm/apartment. I think this is what my cousin is going to do for a couple years. She’ll head out on her own, and need all sorts of things to start her adult life. Chances are, you know someone just like this.

Best buy has gifts for your gradOne of my favorite places to shop for myself is Best Buy, especially since I bought my Wii U, but it’s also the perfect store to stop to pick up a bunch of stuff your recent graduate is going to need to start his or life. This is especially true for small appliances that work well in apartments and dorms:

  • Pizza ovens (I love mine even though I bought it used!)
  • Blenders
  • LG Microwaves
  • Compact refrigerators
  • Hoover vacuums or a BISSELL Cordless 2-in-1 Handheld/Stick Vacuum like the one I recently reviewed!
  • Samsung Galaxy Tabs
  • All-in-one printers

Of course, Best Buy sells some of the fun stuff too — HDTVs, Blu-Ray players, game consoles, stereo systems and all the movies/DVDs any young adult can binge watch, including the first three seasons of Game of Thrones! You can find all of this in the Best Buy gift center. And for someone who is going to move in with roommates, a pair of Beats be Dre headphones might just be necessary to keep the peace.

I bet you’re wishing you’re a grad right about now, so that someone would win you these items! I know I would love a new vacuum or a blender that isn’t quite as cheap as the one I have — it leaks whenever I use it. However, if I had to pick one gift from the list just because, it would definitely be a Samsung Galaxy Tab. It’s been years since I bought my Kindle Fire and I know they’re doing so much more with tablets now.

If you’re drooling over everything Best Buy carries,  you can try your hand at not one but two upcoming Twitter parties with Best Buy.

Do you love twitter parties? Best Buy is hosting two Grads Twitter Parties on Thursday June 19th (6/19) at 7PM CST and Tuesday June 24 (6/24) at 7PM CST.

Feel free to join one or both of these parties for a chance to receive Best Buy gift cards and other great prizes. Tweet #GreatestGrad with your favorite Grad’s Gift ideas from Best Buy.

I love the new Samsung Galaxy Tablet too! That would be on the top of my list if I was a grad. Love the post.
