It’s been a while since I’ve written about Dealspotr, but don’t you think that I’ve forgotten it. In fact, the opposite might be true. I sign on almost every day if I can, earning points that I can turn into gift cards and helping others save money. That I can find some awesome coupons for myself (I’ve also discovered some new stores!) is just a bonus for me!
New to Dealspotr? It’s a great site to find information about coupons and sales. Search through your favorite stores or find the product you’ve been waiting to buy because of its high pricetag. That’s not the only reason why I like the site, though.
My favorite thing about Dealspotr has to be the points. There are a number of way to earn these points, from submitting coupons codes to referring new users to completing daily checklists, which consist of submitting coupons, following new users, commenting and otherwise interacting on the site. The higher quality, the more points you get. For example, you can submit a coupon code, but if you enter the expiration date, add photos and include other details, you’ll get more points. Similarly, any deal that becomes popular will earn you bonuses, and giving “Spots” to other coupons that become popular will accrue you extra points.
It’s through these points that you rank up, but there are tangible benefits to them as well. Every 10,000 points, you can cash out for an Amazon gift card. As a problogger, I get an increased amount of points than regular users, and your activity will also affect how many points you earn. I tend to log on every day and use all my spots (14 daily, and Spots are increased when you spot the more popular deals!). I’ll also complete daily checklists 4-5 times per week. I usually get a 22% bonus every day; although, this has varied if I’ve been more or less active.
I’ve been able to earn Amazon gift cards twice in the last ~40 days, which is a must better payoff than other sites! Because I am such an avid shopper and receive so many newsletters that contain coupon codes, I can be an active submitter on Dealspotr. If you have more time, you could earn even more.
Dealspotr is constantly evolving, too. The folks have readily listened to feedback from users like me, and it’s become easier to earn points and use the site. It’s also become more fun/interesting to use over the months in my opinion.
