In my recent post, I talked about how Mom and Sam had reactions to a body wash. It’s interesting because they both seem to have a lot of topical reactions. Mom can’t use a lot of products, including many laundry soaps but I’ve never had many reactions and very few of the ones I have had were caused by topical stuff. I wouldn’t want to have to be one of those people making my own dish and laundry soap at home or trying out a barrage of acne home remedies because commercial products irritated me skin. It’d drive me nuts. Glad that I’m abnormal in that sense. d=

Suave Body Wash, Wild Cherry Blossom

For some reason, I wind up buying Suave’s body washes quite a bit. I guess they just make a few scents and I like options so it works well. I really enjoy the scent of Wild Cherry Blossom which is definitely more flower than fruity and easily fills the entire bathroom when I shower. However, it’s not too overpowering. The colour is also a little odd as it’s a sort of pinkish orange or porange, if you will.

Like other Suave bodywashes, it comes in a big 12oz bottle (I actually got one of those bottles with a few extra ounces) and it lathers super easily. It lathers super, super well and I am constantly having to remind myself not to use so much because of that. It’s a little difficult because the weight of the body wash really forces out more gel than I want it to. It would be nice to have this in a pump bottle or with a smaller nozzle.

Still, at far as affordable priced body washes go, Suave knows what they’re doing and the Wild Cherry Blossom bodywash is another hit, just like their Sweet Pea and Violet body wash.

Clean and Soft!

Dial’s Clean and Soft body wash is incredibly creamy and feels super sensuous as it glides across my skin. The combination of soy and almond milk scents smells slightly like frosting or vanilla cake batter and permeates the bathroom to create a relaxing and calm environment as I shower. My skin is never greasy nor dry, but touchably soft and smooth after I finish shower.

Clean and Soft body wash does indeed leave me feeling clean and soft.

Remember when I reviewed the Pure Seduction Bodywash in the Secret Garden line by Victoria’s Secret? Then you remember that I didn’t like it very much – but I really wanted to. When that bottle ran out, I headed back to the BX and, this time, spent my time sniffing around the line. I settled on Sweet Daydream, a scent that even my husband seemed to like.

Adorned with a pretty pink flower, this bottle is feminine. The body itself is a deep pink with a hint of orange and shimmers gorgeously.

You can probably already tell I’m much more impressed with this product than I was Pure Seduction. The scent is pleasant not only in the bottle but also in the shower. The body wash feels silkier during, my skin feels smoother after and I could swear that it’s even lasted me longer. But I’m not sure if that’s all actually fact or if I just love the scent that much.

Can scent alone do that much?

It is a wonderful scent. Sweet Daydream is labeled as a mix of “Juicy apple with a flirtatious combination of crisp raspberry and warm vanilla.” It’s lightly fruity, not too heavy or sweet, and the scent of apple is immediately recognizable. The raspberry aspect is also fairly strong and overall I’d say this product smell like apples and berries with very little vanilla (but the lack of vanilla is nothing you’ll miss).

A great scent like this will make your shower smell good and bath time will becoming relaxing and truly exhilarating, as the body wash claims to be. If you haven’t tried any of the Secret Garden products, try this scent first. You won’t regret it!

Pure Seduction Body Wash

Ever since I stumbled across a contest to win products from the Secret Garden line by Victoria’s Secret, I was curious. I had hear that there were VS products in our local BX but hadn’t thought to check them out until now. I took the time to do so and was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the scents! Almost all of them were delicious. I planned to buy something from the line when the body wash I was using ran up. Save for the vanilla, every scent was amazing (and many of the products were sold out which only attested to this).

So I picked up the Pure Seduction “exhilarating” body wash and was excited to try it out. Since I had enjoyed all the scents before, I thought any would work and the Casaba Melon,Plum, & Freesia scents seemed like as good a choice as any. It was pricier than most body washes and smaller as well but it was on sale from the price marked on the shelf.

I must admit I was disappointed when I finally used the body wash. I had smelled the lotions and the body wash didn’t smell exactly the same. In fact, compared to the lotion, the body wash almost smells bad. Although the Pure Seduction body wash smells nice, it didn’t smell as great as I was expecting.

Scent aside, I gave it a try. I was disappointed at the body wash. It didn’t feel especially silky and it didn’t lather well; I have to use quite a bit because of this and the bottle is quickly emptying.

Admittedly, my skin smells rather pleasant afterward but it doesn’t feel especially soft or silky and it sometimes a bit oily. Pure Seduction body wash also doesn’t seem like it does anything for body acne.

Overall, this seems like a body wash that is purely cosmetic, without offering a lot of benefits to the skin. For its price, I would expect something that works a bit better, lathers easier and lasts more as well as a product that leaves my skin not just pleasant smelling but soft.

I’m willing to try other Secret Garden products but I’ll be sure to smell the specific product first!
