This one isn’t really far-fetched. It’s a gaming laptop that happens to be red and we all know that I love those. I didn’t get one. I could have but I didn’t. I don’t regret it but the black and red on the Qosmio X505, especially on the lid, looks damned sexy.

While I think the Qosmio X505 is even more overpriced than my Alienware was, it does look nice. I specifically like the position of the speakers as mine are odd and face the front. That’s probably my biggest complaint.

I also like the multimedia and power button to the left of the keyboard, mostly because it’s novel. I’m pretty sure that, face to face, I’d think it to be a waste of real estate.

Ultimately though, I couldn’t justify spending that much and not even have Bluetooth. WTF mate? Right?

I can drool though.

I didn’t expect to do any Black Friday shopping except to buy an Xbox 360 from Best Buy but it was sold out online well before midnight here. I wound up staying up until at least 5 in the morning and only made a purchase from Kohls. I’m just such a window shopper.

Wendy invested in the Xbox from Target because they had a reasonable sale and, in our excitement, we headed out to Best Buy and Gamestop to purchase more games (and a PowerUp subscription), including Samantha’s Christmas present. Along with that purchase, was an Afterglow controller in purple for me.

I also added a new pair of shoes, or should I say, replaced my old ones because one of them sprung a leak but you could hardly fault me for wanting shoes that fit, eh?

The only really frivolous purchase is the Alienware M15x laptop that I cannot wait to get here (the suggested arrival is December 14th )=)! And, really, it’s only the price that is frivolous and I totally need a new computer. My eight-year-old desktop really needs to retire.

I do plan on buying a camera, mouse and desk to go with my new computer but some of those things may simply be Christmas presents. Hint: Best Buy or Amazon gift cards. ;)

So, maybe I haven’t bought that much but it sure feels like it. Keep your eyes posted for new reviews soon!

Of course, there’s always a barrage of messages in my inbox about penis enlargement, dating/singles sites, weight loss diet pills and other pills for which I have no use. I’ve even gotten some spam about nursing homes lately. WTF, bitches? My mom isn’t that old. Leave me alone!

When I worked at the E-club, we had touch screen computers which wre actually far less cool than one might imagine, especially with our out-of-date software. Add to it the fact that we had to use separate computers for some parts of the job and you can imagine that the whole place was not running very smoothly (but that’s the military for you ;)). Although that software was a little different than the software for salons which Milano provides, software is something which businesses of all sizes have to consider.

Milano’s site shows the features of their different types of software and have some great recommendations from previous customers. You can see all their partnerships with different associations and even industry groups. They even have gift card options which is just one way that their software for spas and other products can help streamline your business and increase your productivity – not to mention revenue.

But, hopefully, sometime in the next year I can add a laptop to my collection as well. I really want something in red (Dell, Vaio and Gateway all make ‘em in red) and will probably go for a refurbish model just to save some money. For now, I can just be jealous.

Although it has some visible signs of wear – the silver coating on the exterior has worn off on places where the fingers and hand usually sit – this little electronic has proved very useful for me.

Now, the one issue I had is that this Micro mouse is not completely wireless. It has a receiver which plugs into my computers PS2/mouse port. Which also means it don’t work with any system without a PS2 port. Currently, that are many wireless mice available with just a tiny USB adapter so this is no longer an issue. Overall, it’s not a big deal because the mouse isn’t connected to any cords and that’s what matter.

I found that the speed of the optical mouse really is improved over the speed of the old “ball” style mouse I had. Furthermore, the optical mouse never gets full of dirt, pet hair and lint that needs to be cleaned out. It doesn’t seem to be quite as accurate or quick for games that require that so a traditional optical mouse would probably work better.

It’s also held up incredibly well with literally no issues. It’s important to remember that the wireless mouse will go ‘idle’ after a period of disuse and this is easily fixed by clicking a button – that simple!

Another thing to remember is that, after changing batteries, a button must be pressed on the receiver and while the green light is blinking, the ‘reset’ must be activated on the bottom of the Micro mouse. This is far from a hassle.

My biggest issue, I think, and it really affects my husband more than me is that you are frequently changing batteries. I accepted that as a given and that might be a deal breaker for some, if you’re like that, you might consider purchasing a new rechargeable style mouse.

Other than that, the only draw back is that the mouse is shaped slightly different from typical mice. It’s very egg-shaped and wide along the sides whereas other mice are narrower on the sides, this might feel a bit large or awkward for some at first but it’s a quick adjustment.

I’ll leave you with another plus and that is the Optical Wireless Mouse with Scroll Wheel PS/2 is equipped with buttons on either side that function as “back” and “forward” buttons. I use these frequently when browsing the web and love them!

Overall, the Optical Wireless Mouse with Scroll Wheel PS/2 is a good investment which stands the test of time well. Wireless mice are not the best for certain activities, like gaming, and a rechargeable, wireless mouse does not require the frequent change of batteries. Regardless, I still like my optical, wireless mouse by Micro.
